We are always looking for passionate, engaged people to help us in our vision of providing a safe place for our community’s young people. You can volunteer to help us run the floor on operational days, or interview to be a one-on-one mentor. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it. You never know what kind of impact you can make by taking just a few minutes to influence a young person.

We serve meals every day that we’re open. These meals are either made in-house, picked up from a restaurant, or donated. If you are unable to volunteer, or would prefer to get Involved in a different capacity, this option may be right for you. You can commit to a monthly financial donation that will go directly to the meal program at Refuge, or you can bring in food, prep and serve the meal yourself, with our team, or with friends! It usually costs around $60 per day to serve the students that attend our program. We have numerous students that would benefit from vision or dental care, but can’t afford it. And others who excel in the arts or sciences but aren’t able to participate in extra curricular activities because of cost restrictions. This program allows us to help students participate in important opportunities and utilize resources that are crucial to their health, education, and growth, which they otherwise would miss. At it’s core, Refuge is a faith based program. We believe prayer matters and helps. If you’re a person walking a faith journey and aren’t sure exactly how to help, this is a great way to get started. It’s really simple, sign up using this form, once a month we’ll send you some prayer requests specific to our students and the program - some of those requests will come directly from students themselves. You spend a few minutes each day of the month praying for the items on that list and that’s it!

As a nonprofit, everything we do is reliant upon the generosity of the community in which we serve. If it wasn’t for the selfless generosity of a group of people, we simply wouldn’t be able to offer these opportunities to the students free-of-charge. We will continue to do that no matter what, but we need your help to do it effectively. Any amount helps, and every dime goes directly into the program, there’s nothing that comes off the top. We use it specifically to further the vision and mission of Refuge and the students we serve.
