Frequently Asked Questions
Is the purchase of my brick tax deductible?
Yes. Refuge is a certified 501(c)3 non-profit public charity. All brick purchases will be tax deductible. You will receive a letter of recognition for your records.
When will the bricks be laid?
The fundraiser is officially live! We are hoping to get all bricks purchased by September 2017 and lay them before winter. Depending on the weather, we are hoping to have the project finished in 2017. If we do not reach our goal of selling them by September, we will continue selling until they are all sold and lay them as soon as possible after the winter season.
Can I purchase more than one?
Of course! We have orders forms for each size and you can also order online.
What sizes can I purchase?
We have three sizes for you to consider:
– 4 x 8 Red Brick, up to 3 lines of text with up to 21 characters per line (18 recommended).
– 8 x 8 Red Brick, up to 6 lines of text with up to 21 characters per line (18 recommended).
– 8 x 8 Featured Gray Brick, up to 6 lines of text with up to 21 characters per line (18 recommended). All gray bricks will be used as part of a special, center-laid mural in the entrance way.
Who will be laying the bricks?
We already have brick layers who will be donating some of their time. A local business has committed to donating the funds to cover any additional costs of labor.
Can I pick where my brick is laid?
All bricks will be laid in the walkway leading to the front entrance of the building. Due to the nature of the pattern, we are limited in flexibility. We apologize, we are unable to offer the choice of placement. However, all gray featured bricks will placed prominently in the center of the walkway as part of a special mural.
